SHARKX
Founded in 2010, Sharkx is a family-run sports and recreation facility with a focus on cue sports—one of the world's most popular pastimes. Our vision has always been to create a space that not only generates income but also benefits the community and society.
Located in the heart of Newbridge, our facility serves as the home base for the RILSA (Irish Ladies Cue Sports Association) and the Kildare Pool Association. However, Sharkx is more than just a cue sports venue—we are a welcoming hub for diverse groups,making sure everyone, regardless of ability or background, feels welcome and has access to sports and recreation.
Our commitment to inclusivity and community is important to us, making Sharkx a vibrant and essential part of the local landscape.

Sharkx is one of Irelands top cue sports facilities, offering an unmatched experience for all cue sports including snooker full & ¾ size, English pool, American pool, Chinese 8 ball pool and billiards enthusiasts. With 23 championship tables—we cater to players of all skill levels and backgrounds.
Together with ladies cue sports association “RILSA” we're building an excellent community of female players from all over Ireland and we'd love for you to be a part of it. At Sharkx we proudly promote ladies' cue sports by providing a fun and inclusive environment for women to play, learn, and connect.
Sharkx is the home base for the Kildare Pool Association, supporting the sport of pool and nurturing local talent. The association has thrived, attracting diverse players who now compete in individual and team events at national, European, and world competitions.
Through our partnership with the Kildare Pool Association, we mutually aim to inspire and develop a new generation of pool enthusiasts and elevate the sport in the region, helping Kildare shine on the national and international stage
Shark was brilliant. We had a pool table for over 2 hours and the time flew. The tables are covered when not in use, the felt was perfect and the table flat as a pancake. The staff were really nice, as was the coffee and we could book in advance. Overall well worth it.
