Who We Are

Sharkx is a well-established cue sports and recreation venue, founded in 2010 as a family-run business. Our vision was to create a welcoming space that not only provides sport and recreation but importantly also benefits the community.

We cater regular locals and visitors and offer a social, safe, and respectful environment for both cue sports enthusiasts and recreational players.

Our Facilities

We have 23 championship-standard tables (Snooker, English Pool, American Pool, and Chinese 8-Ball pool). Seating area providing teas & coffees for guests. Electronic games section with a selection of casino games.

Sharkx now:

During the COVID-19 pandemic we used the financial support received and the time available during lockdowns to work on the venue by decorating and upgrading our appearance and facilities.

Having survived tough years and lean times today Sharkx is now an established entertainment & amenity center. We are recognised nationally as a leading venue for cue sports and we have accumulated many friends and followers on various social media platforms. We are members of ISME and IATA.

Sharkx has hands-on management by experienced people with over 40 years of diverse experience in the hospitality industry as owner/ manager of pubs, restaurants & even a hostel. We know how to run an orderly premises.

Unlike restricted sports clubs we are open to and we connect with a diverse section of society. We even attract county footballers spending alcohol free bonding time.

Our customers are people not numbers. We know their names and we build relationships.

Looking Ahead

We will continue to evolve, adapting to societal changes and legislative updates, such as the new Gambling Regulation Bill. Although cue sports is our core focus, our viability depends on balanced revenue sources. Snooker & pool is not viable without electronic games.

Our core values/ operating principles…Respect

Our aim is for a respectful environment and we operate a strategy of basic respect. The 3 R’s, Respect for yourself, Respect for others and Responsibility for your actions. If someone behaves disrespectfully i.e. inappropriately they have caused themselves to be no longer welcome.
